There will be an Exemplification of the Fourth Degree held in St. Louis, Mo. on Saturday March 8, 2008, at the St. Louis Airport Marriott Hotel, 1-70 & Lambert Airport. Our Honoree this year will be Monsignor Henry Breier. We hope that you and your Assembly members will join us to honor Monsignor Breier and the class by your involvement in the Exemplification.
The Program for the day will be:
Registration of the Candidates,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,9:00a.m. to 12:00 noon
Exemplification ........................................................................................ 12:30p.m.
Ladies Luncheon and Entertainment ..12:30p.m.
Mass and Knighting Ceremony 4:00p.m.
Banquet and Dance ...7:00p.m. to 12:00 midnight
All applications must have the Candidate's Membership Number & Date of 1st Degree, the Candidate's name, the signature's of the Financial Secretary of his Council, Navigator and Comptroller of the Assembly he is joining. He must have been a 1st degree member for at least 6 months and be a 3rd Degree Knight. Only the Master may grant waivers for less than 6 months. The first two pages of each application, along With the full initiation, fee shall be sent to the Master (By the Navigator) and must be received prior to February 23, 2008 to allow sufficient time for the program printing and banquet seating arrangements. Checks should be made to: Knights of Columbus Forth Degree. Since signatures are sometimes difficult to decipher, PLEASE ENCLOSE A TYPE WRITTEN OR PRINTED list of candidates and proposers with the applications.
The initiation fee is $70.00 for laymen (Including Deacons) and $37.00 for Clergy. This fee will cover the Degree, a Social Baldric, a lapel pin, certificate and one Banquet Ticket (Again this year a suspender baldric will be available for an extra $4.00). The cost of additional banquet tickets for wives, friends and/or other members is $33.00 each. Enclosed is a banquet reservation form to be used by all members and candidates to order additional tickets. Please copy this form as needed. Forward all completed banquet forms to Kenneth Scherer, PSD, Secretary to the Master no later than February 23, 2008. So that all may attend the banquet, I ask that all hospitality rooms be closed on Saturday evening from 7:00p.m. until the banquet is over. The Hotel may provide a cash bar by the banquet room. NO ONE is to take private beverage into the banquet room. Thank you in advance for your help regarding this matter.
The official attire for candidates is black tuxedo; black tie, white formal shirt and black shoes. It will be the candidate's responsibility to make prior arrangements for the purchase or/rental of his tuxedo and/or shoes. Rental arrangements have been made with Callahan's Tuxedo Rental Co., 3714 Gravois, St. Louis, Mo. 63116. Phone: 314-664-5521. Rental cost is $50.00 with shoes an

additional $5.00 (if necessary). Rental information is enclosed. If you use this method you pick up your Tuxedo at the hotel on the day of the degree. I suggest you be in your tuxedo no later than 11:30am.
Because the Honor Guard Regalia includes a tuxedo and many social events that your assembly will sponsor require a tuxedo, it is recommended that you purchase these items. (Honor Guard
shirt, must be a shirt with a regular collar).
Hotel rooms are available at the Airport Marriott on Friday March 7 and Saturday, March 8, 2007 (single, double, triple and quad) at the special rate of $74.00 + tax. Make your reservations directly with the hotel at 1-877-264-8771 or 314-423-9700. Ask for reservations and tell them you are with the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree to get the above rate. You must guarantee your reservations with one nights deposit or a credit card to hold the room past 6.00p.m. Reservations must be made by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2008.
Sir Knight Timothy Fleming, Eastern Marshal, requests that as many Honor Guard as possible to dress out for the Degree, the Mass and Banquet. A lot of help will be needed.
