Brother Sir Knights,
The Exemplification last month was a wonderful event and our Assembly was
an instrumental part in the celebration. Our Assembly owes a big hand to Stan
Mengwasser, our Class Chairman, who did an outstanding job with recruitment
and coordinating preparations with the other Assemblies. I salute our Honor Guard
members for their participation in the Exemplification. Commander Bill Hartmann
reports that our Assembly’s Honor Guard was out in full force and performed in
outstanding fashion. I would like to thank all the Councils who made a donation
for our hospitality room at the Exemplification. A special thank you to Stan Jackson,
Eric Bruns, and Stan Mengwasser for stocking and staffing the hospitality room
for the weekend.
The Ladies Auxiliary would like to invite your wife to attend their April
meeting and consider joining the Auxiliary. New members are encouraged to
bring their wife along for your first meeting so that she can meet the other ladies.

Our Ladies Auxiliary is hosting their Annual Trivia Night on Saturday,
April 12, 2008, 7:00PM. It will be at Shrewsbury Community Center located at 5200
Shrewsbury Avenue. Call Mary Smith at 314-832-4603 for information and
reservations. We, as Sir Knights, must support our Ladies Auxiliary in this effort.
The proceeds will be given to The Fisher House Foundation to benefit the families
of hospitalized veterans.
Our Assembly will be conducting a flag retirement ceremony on June 14th.
Please bring any flag that needs to be retired to any Assembly meeting or
function and give to Rick Schmidt, our Patriotism Chairman. If you would

At our May meeting there will be election of Officers. Anyone wishing to run
for an office, please contact Tony Braum, Past State Deputy, who has agreed to be
Nominating Chairman. Installation of officers for the coming year will be Sunday,
June 22, at Cardinal Rigali Center, with 5:00PM Mass and Dinner. Cost will be
$10.00 per person. Call Jack Giebe at 636-532-2078 for information and reservations.
Our next meeting will April 9. Please be sure to bring your new members that you
sponsored so they can learn more about our actives.
