August 2007

Worthy Sir Knights,

I would like to take a moment to recognize the dedication and devotion to duty that our Honor Guard has shown over the last few months. We have had a high number of call outs. The number of men making these call outs has remained high as have their standard of dress and decorum. We thank you Worthy Sir Knights, and I thank the Ladies for their support of the Knights in their effort to make these calls.

The Honor Guard picnic was a great success Sunday, July 29, and it was great to see so many of us having a good time. Bill and Geri Hartmann did an outstanding job putting it together. The Assembly thanks both of you.

The trustees have completed their annual audit of the Assembly’s accounts  and have found that all funds have been properly handled during the past fraternal year. I congratulate Purser Eric Bruns and Comptroller Ernie Usted for their outstanding performance in the handling of the funds. I also thank Trustees Bob Hawkins, Jim Cooper, and Dan Parsons for their service to the Assembly inthe performance of their duties.

Our Faithful Scribe Stan Mengwasser has accepted the position of Class Chairman for the March 2008 Fourth Degree Exemplification. He will need al l our help in getting candidates.

We have two resolutions that will be put to a vote at our next meeting:
